Aneta Mieszawska
Assistant Professor, Brooklyn College
Aneta J. Mieszawska has been an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry since August 2013 and holds a joint appointment with the CUNY Graduate Center. Her research interests span across nanotechnology and nanomedicine with specific interest in designing and testing the theranostic nanoparticle systems for concurrent imaging and therapy of disease. Her Ph.D. work included the synthesis and characterization of metal nanostructures and applications of nanostructural inorganic/organic hybrid systems. After completion of her Ph.D. work she was a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University, Boston, and a postdoctoral fellow in the Nanomedicine Laboratory in the Translational and Molecular Imaging Institute at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, N.Y.
