Looking for summer research opportunities for 2024 in the field of protein biochemistry and synthetic polymer chemistry. Open to learning more about academic carrier.
Bio
Lakshika is currently working on studying interactions between protein surface and polymer surfactants. The project focuses on stabilizing solvent-free liquid proteins in high temperature in melt phase to embedded them into polymer matrix for biodegradable plastics. To make this to a reality, Lakshika works with circular dichroism, FTIR, solid state NMR, TGA and DSC. When not in the lab Lakshika is enjoying playing piano, oil painting and travelling.
